A Night at the Waldorf

Ever find yourself needing a little staycation? We sure do. And last month, we decided to give it a go at the new Waldorf Astoria in Buckhead. A good staycation requires a few things: a great hotel, great food, great activities and great company. Of course, we had all four. So here you have it ladies, a guide to our night at the Waldorf.

Ladies who Lunch

GOTTA arrive before check-in (if you can) to experience the delicious food offered at The Café and Bar. We were welcomed with a stellar lunch and you should be, too. Our number one take away was that the croque monsieur was in fact, FIRE. We’ll be coming back solely for that dish, no doubt about it. This spot is great for hotel guests, but also perfect for lunch meetings. Work in Buckhead? Pitch this spot to your boss next time you’re heading out.

Did we mention the Waldorf is conveniently located right in the heart of Buckhead? It sure is. So after lunch, if you’re not ready to check in, walk over to Lenox or Phipps for a little shopping spree. Hey, it’s a staycation after all, treat yourself.

Speaking of treating yourself, next up: the spa.

This is a MUST. Treat yourself to a facial, massage, pedi, mani, whatever. We had a facial and massage lined up and they did. not. disappoint. To be more specific, we had the Southern Comfort massage and the Waldorf Astoria facial. Highly, highly recommend, but there are plenty of amazing options so make sure to check out their spa menu before deciding.

P.S. even if you aren’t doing a treatment, the steam room is available to you as a hotel guest!

Happiest Hour

Before heading off for dinner, we HAD to grab a drink in the hotel’s bar. You know we’ll never say no to sipping pretty cocktails, especially when they’re had on a patio outside. Another great spot for business meetings, girls night or a fun little date night.

For Dinner

Hungry? You’re in luck. The Waldorf is in such a prime spot to dine WELL. We chose to head over to St. Cecilia to load up on pasta and bread. A no brainer for us. If you haven’t tried St. Cecilia, it’s time to make that reservation. Even though we could easily walk to this spot, the hotel offered to take us over in their car so, of course, we chose to ride in style. See below for alternative dinner spots nearby, we’re here to help ya know.

The Next Day

First, we should mention how great the room was. And by great we mean HUGE, clean and came with an amazing balcony overlooking Buckhead. For us, waking up in a hotel means one thing.. room service.

We hung our order outside the night before, selected an arrival time and boom..great way to start the day. If you want to venture out for breakfast, simple, just head back over to the malls, Shops of Buckhead or even try out our favorite diner, White House. But note, it is truly a diner.

All in all, we kept this stay short and very, very sweet. If you stay longer, might we suggest heading to Bones for a ~ fancy ~ dinner or popping over to the Shops of Buckhead for drinks at Gypsy Kitchen and dinner at Taverna or Storico Fresco. Or maybe you’d prefer to relax and stay in with dinner at the Waldorf! You also may want to try out the Waldorf’s fitness center - something we’re ashamed to say was not top of mind for us. Maybe next staycation?

Alright babes, go book!
