Next up: Jazmin Guerrero, Founder of Becalia Botanicals. Becalia Botanicals is a natural skincare + beauty company inspired by Jazmin’s Latin American heritage. Becalia Botanicals strives to help women feel pure, fresh, balanced + empowered.

Q: Tell us a little bit about you, girl!
A: I'm originally from LA and I've lived in Atlanta for 23 years. I have a teenage daughter, Aaliyah, who is absolutely awesome! I know many people say that about their kids, but she really is a great kid. I live with my daughter, fiancé and fur baby Diesel, a 5 year old Siberian Husky. By day, I work in operations and account management for a real estate law firm in Buckhead. I founded Becalia Botanicals last year as a leap of faith to start a business I had been putting off for many years. Entrepreneurship has definitely been a roller coaster and honestly half the time I'm not sure if I know what I'm doing. I love entrepreneurship and I keep focused on my business knowing that I am working on my dream. It's ok if I still don't know everything, I continue to learn and grow along the way.
Q: What’s the most rewarding—and most challenging—part of your work?
A: There is nothing more rewarding than hearing my customers rave about my products and keep coming back for more. It makes my heart full when a customer tells me how much their skin has improved and has brought out their confidence.
Q: What’s the best advice you’ve ever been given?
A: The best advice I've probably been given is to not let in that little voice inside that makes us feel like we're not good enough. We are enough, no matter where we are in life or in business. You are enough and capable to do anything you set your mind to.
Q: Where did your love of skincare come from?
A: I will have to give credit to my mother for my love of skincare. My mother was always making sure that I took care of my skin ever since I could remember. As I got older, the same products I used as a teenager were not doing anything for my skin. When I turned to popular products, my skin became even more unhappy. When I turned to natural skincare and began creating products in my kitchen, my skin began to immediately improve and I discovered that as my skin improved, so did my confidence. I want to give that same feeling to women everywhere!
Q: What is your favorite part about participating in the Members Mart?
A: I've met a lot of wonderful ladies while being a member of ATL Girl Gang and I have developed some great connections with other entrepreneurs. I love participating in the Members Mart because I love seeing how much these girl bosses have grown in their own businesses. This month, I'm super excited to share my new seasonal line at the Holiday Mart. This collection has been hard to keep in stock so I'm making a special batch just for the Members Mart. Plus, I can't wait to show everyone how much we've grown from our first members mart.
Q: Tell us about some of the amazing products you will be selling at the Members Mart!
A: I can't wait to show our members our new products since our last mart, plus some returning faves! We'll have our Colada Cleanser, Hibiscus Clay Mask, Horchata Polishing Grains and our brand new Prickly Pear Oil all to help bring out your natural glow. Plus, I'll be bringing in some seasonal products such as our body butter, body scrub and detox bath salts. Our body line keeps selling out, but no worries, I'm making a special fresh batch just for the Holiday Mart.
